First session route

What to do first in Subnautica 2

The opening goal is not to swim far. It is to turn short safe loops into tools, scans, storage, and a route back to your next objective.

  1. Check the starting pod and active objectives. Read every prompt before leaving the safe area.
  2. Gather common materials before rare ones. Early crafting stalls when you chase distant resources too soon.
  3. Scan fragments as soon as possible. Blueprints are often more important than raw materials.
  4. Build storage and utility first. A compact base should solve oxygen, crafting, and inventory friction.
  5. Upgrade mobility before deep routes. Vehicles and oxygen gear turn risky trips into repeatable routes.
